Washing tips

General tips on removing stains:

  • Stains can be best removed when they are still fresh.
  • Always check the care lables of your textiles before treatment and establish whether the fabric is washable or not.
  • To be on the safe side, please check the colour fastness of your textiles beforehand. Ideally, try out the stain remover agent on the inside of a seam or a hem.
  • Carefully treat the stain. Do not rub roughly but gentle, if applicable only dab or press. Stain removal needs time and patience!
  • Work from the edges of the stain towards the middle so that no edges are formed.
  • After drying the cleaned area, you should gently brush over the fabric to even out the fibres.
  • If the stain has not yet fully disappeared, the treatment can be repeated.

Information on fabric tolerability:

  • White, boil-proof fabrics are mostly wet and rubbing-proof and least sensitive to stain removal. Frequently, the bleaching of stubborn stains is possible.
  • White, washable fabrics with coloured imprints can be discoloured as the result of excessively hot washing, excessively aggressive washing, pre-treatment and stain agents, stain within the coloured parts and discolour other items of washing.
  • Coloured, washable fabrics require milder agents. Bleaching means losses of colour.
  • Wool has to be treated very carefully. Rubbing, wringing out, pulling is not good for it. Washing is only possible to a limited extent, swinging restricted and stain removal delicate.
  • Silk and velvet are among the most sensitive fabrics. The fine and precious material, even washing silk, must be treated with extreme care.
  • Artificial and mixed fibres require precise compliance with the corresponding manufacturer’s instructions during washing, stain removal and cleaning.

To be particularly noted:

if the item of washing cannot be cleaned chemically, it cannot be treated with pre-wash either.

So that there are no clouds/rings (when sprayed with pre-wash stain remover):
Due to air contamination, light-coloured fabrics become darker over time, without us noticing them. Through the treatment with pre-wash stain remover (spray remover / spray), the dirt on the treated area has been removed without residue, i.e. the original colour of the item of washing has been restored. So that the item of washing regains its original colour, spray it all over with pre-wash stain remover and wash it again.

With the spray, only tilt the can slightly, up to a maximum of 45°. Otherwise, the propellant will be released too quickly, which results in the can not being fully emptied.

Sort your washing according to:

  • Colours
  • Fabric type
  • Size and machine filling (mix large and small items of washing so that the items of washing still have enough space to move freely.)
  • Dirt
  • Sensitive fabrics
  • Washing of young children

Prepare washing:

  • Shake out loose dirt
  • Empty pockets
  • Stand collars up
  • Roll down shirt sleeves
  • Open buttons
  • Close zips or hooks
  • Bind belts or straps loosely
  • Detach rusting and defective parts (buckles, metal buttons) beforehand
